A very long & winddddyyyyy story :) , which took a while to read; however, it was well-written, imaginative, compelling and character driven intercepting many mini-stories. Being an unusual story line: the author knew how to grip his readers and keep them anticipated in wanting more with exciting twists and turns throughout his book. This is 'native-based', with their spiritual belief system intertwined.
However, this fictionous work has some bases in reality: I heard of a native couple who won a big $50M, lottery in Winnipeg, that lived on an Indian reserve in a run-down trailer park on disability assistance at the time they won the jackpot! They were Walmart shoppers :) lol....You can google this fact to verify it. Thx.
