This book of short stories showing life in North Korea is all the more astonishing when you consider the author still lives there & risked his life to smuggle the book out of the country. We should never take our freedoms in Canada for granted. Nor should we judge the people in these countries for their snitching or their fear; we cannot know how we'd act in similar circumstances. A great & important book!
