These DVDs are really a mess. They are constantly getting stuck so it's near to impossible to watch a program all the way through.

I'm an original series , TNG, DS-9 fan. Part of the fun of being an ST fan is how each show acknowleged the Star Trek history accurately. "Enterprise" destroyed the entire history of the Star Trek francise, and was the turn-off show of many a ST fan. I'm giving this series a 2nd look & chance; not so much for, "Enterprise" but because present tv is abysmal; that & I do miss my Star Trek fix. And, when many patrons borrow this and other dvds, can you PLEASE treat them delicately. The scatch damage on this (as well as other) dvds is appalling. Please know that, "borrowed" does not mean, "no one cares how you treat them".

I am an old school Original series Fan but have stated watching this one and I will say that it is worth watching for a star trek fan. However the only problem I have with it is alot of the technolgy and gagets they use look more advanced then in the Original series. You think they would have dumbed them down as to say alittle it just does'nt blend well if this is supposed to be before the Original series. anyway Acting is decent, and it is fairly entertaining so will keep watching. Oh they have them run into Ferainge ( the big eared guys) in season one, but in Star Trek TNG season one they say Stafleet has never meet them and they have never seen them before, Does'nt blend again!

<season two, disc one>
character adjustment. kinda good, different in ways, technology, treaties... (a bit of a quantum leap stereotype at first) would have went with the retro intro versus the theme type.
<disc seven>
liking it more as it progressed. character adjustment complete and I like the new characters...Tucker favorite in this series. Some odd events which cross time lines but holds my interest and am looking forward to the others.
