I think this would be a great in-class read. School dynamics, family mental illness are just a couple of topics in this first novel by Ehrlich. The two main characters "Chirp" and Joey are two good friends you can't help but love. Looking forward for her next book, hope it's soon!

Wow - this children's book had me crying my eyes out! I personally do not agree with some of the conclusions that the writer emphasizes such as that we have limited ability to control or influence adults. I don't want to give away the story but it involves a tragedy far beyond MS.

I very much enjoyed the way the family was portrayed with all of their thorns and roses. Cute young friendship and romance also!
