I thought I was just reading another former child star's diary until the thesis became clearer. Melissa's loving and complicated relationship with her older sister is what makes this memoir so memorable. I finished it while sobbing.

Absolutely a must read! It's a sad book but Ms. Francis soldiered on and made something of herself. Many comparisons to the book Chanel Bonfire in regards to her mother.
