Lots of medical details, which I would usually like, but I'm looking for light reading in a romance, not an educational tome. Due to the medical details clogging up the flow of the story, it was a bit slow moving. The story seemed to have a real lack of romance, there was no tension between the characters which made any supposed romantic scenes seem forced - it would have been very awkward to watch this as a movie or tv show.
I love Jo Goodman books. She is an extremely thoughtful writer. I wish all were as well-written. Romances would not have their "bad" name, if all were written like Ms. Goodman's.
"Marry Me" is not the absolute best I've read from Ms. Goodman, but still very enjoyable. And I still had difficulty putting it down - it's just that there are a few others of her books that I've loved so much, I'm not sure they are replaceable...
