Add a CommentI really enjoy Rick Bragg's other books, which is why I thought this one would be a good pick. I was wrong. Maybe he was just so in awe of his subject, or so focussed on writing something 'arty' or was being paid by the word, or whatever, but I got really tired really fast with the confusing way he presents the history of Lewis. Just tell a straight story! A little embellishment is fine, but all the beating around the bush stuff makes it drag. So, I didn't finish.
