This is an interesting book about the writers/editors of the King James Bible. There is an awkward balance between the history of the times and the history of the modern Church. Some of the issues that would not be as important now are exposed: 1) funding 2) who to include as an editor 3) attributiions 4) distribution 5) production (editing!).
Footnotes throughout might have helped or distract (not sure).
