Add a CommentRichard Ford is a very good writer. He has a simple and clear style. He is honest. Some very good lines. I loved this book.
This is my first Frank Bascombe book, and I found the characters and their stories interesting. The post-Hurricane Sandy setting gave an added dimension.
I have read almost all of Mr. Ford's books. I was very disapointed with "let me be frank with you". His repetitive Obama cheering and Bush bashing was completely out of bounds. Bascombe was made into a caricature, a sad ending to a character that gave me much delight in the past. Mr. Ford has succeeded in alienating me, maybe I should simply say "good ridance"
