Why was the dead man planning to flee the country? And how is this connected to the shady business dealings of the garage? This book is OK, but it drags in places. I liked The Cornish Coast Murder better. Mr. Bude's books give insight into the process the police use to solve a crime. That is interesting to a point, but parts of police work are just plain dull. The characters in this book were not particularly engaging.
