When Caleb Devereaux's younger sister is kidnapped, he turns to an unlikely source for help. While Ramie can connect to victims and locate them by feeling their pain, her ability comes with a price. Every time she uses it, it costs her a piece of herself. Helping the infuriatingly attractive and impatient Caleb successfully find his sister nearly destroys her. Even though his sexual intensity draws her like a magnet, she needs to get as far away from him as she can.

I was very intrigued with the storyline and picked it up. I quit reading/ had to put it down (this never happens to me!) - the writing is terrible----I don't want to read a character re-iterate his/her internal struggles with his/her feelings and what s/he did/didn't do over and over and over again in the same, exact way. It's unimaginative, distracting, the sex scenes are unnecessary and it's a super big disappointment. I will unfortunately not choose to read more of this author's work.

Yucky, hated it.

I was disappointed with the book. The storyline had potential, but failed miserably. The heroine acted like a doormat. And then she's was treated like crap by Caleb's family when they should have worshipping the ground she walked on. I ended up being ticked off throughout the whole book.

I haven't had time to read much but now that I started work I had to find a book to read on the bus. My friend saw this book on the new shelve and I took it. I loved this book! Kept me entertained and interested the whole time. Give it a try.
