A wild half-man, half-ape emerges from his countryside cave. People call him Trog, short for a prehistoric cave dweller called a troglodyte. To anthropologist Dr. Brockton, he's the scientific discovery of the age. To others, he's walking death. A grocer is impaled on a meat hook, a car is tossed aside like a twig, a child is kidnapped-- all after local resident Sam Murdock prods the brute into a blind rampage.

So, folks, guess what it is that research anthropologist Dr. Benton (along with her curious colleagues) discover brings out the absolute raging beast in Trog? - Uh... What else, but - Rock'n'Roll music.

With the exception of the three unintentionally hilarious moments mentioned here - (1) The first sighting of Trog - (2) The reaction of the crowd when Trog emerges from inside the cave - (3) Trog's murderously frenzied rampage through town - The rest of this Sci-Fi fairy-tale was pretty crappy, for the most part.

Even though this was clearly a total British production - At least the audience was spared the torture of having to endure American actress Joan Crawford trying to fake a British accent. But, with that said, it really killed me that Anne, Crawford's character's daughter in the story, spoke with an obvious cockney lilt in her voice.

Anyway - Trog would be Crawford's final film as an actress. Seven years down the road she would die at the age of 72.
