Disappointing. A long, drawn-out, rather boring tale of a girl reading a diary and obsessing endlessly about someone who has very few real connections to her world. I felt the writing, tho supposedly set in 2003, was very old-fashioned and I don't really think it was worthy of the name V.C. Andrews. The Attic stories are played out - don't bother with it.

Off course I love the book. I always was intrigue on whats was Christopher were thinking and his feeling. he wanted to be strong, and actually he was. in the other hand I like the Kristin story too, I was kind of thoughtful..

If you watched the movie, you don't really need to read the book unless you want to find out about the girl's life who is reading the diary..

Would have been far better if it was really a book-length look at Flowers in the Attic from Chris' perception but instead it's a pretty eye-rolling story about a girl finding the diary and reading snatches of it at a time
