I volunteer at Holgate Library and came across the book, when I was in pain from head to foot, after I was hit by a car while riding my bike. All the modalities I was told would help me, didn't and some made it worse.

I checked this book out and got instant relief in my psoas. I was hooked! I contacted Martha Peterson, and am now training under her tutelage to be a Hanna Clinical Somatic Educator.

Somatics works, because it addresses the brain, not just the area of pain.

If you need personal guidance, or want to explore the hands-on work, which is not part of this book, let me know! I'm in Portland Oregon. I also work with people online.
