This book is not based in scientific research on what is biologically or developmentally appropriate for newborns. It gives inaccurate and inappropriate advice to new parents. There are many books out there that are backed by current scientific research on infant sleep. This is not one of them.

Do not bother with this book. This book needs to come off the shelves. It is incredibly naïve and biologically negative to attempt to sleep train a newborn. Newborns require not only food, but parents presence (safety) 24/7. If you want to sleep train your newborn, maybe you shouldn't have had a baby. Tired? Suck it up. This book could potentially have a negative affect on a whole generation of children. Not feeding at night will lead to failure to thrive and emotional problems later in life.
