Wonderful story of witches, gardens, and the role society assigns to women, even today.
Bad things happen to everyone and the aftermath changes us in ways we may not even be aware of but friendship and family keep us going in life. Looking forward to the next one.

Maybe it's because Nan, Mavis and Ruthie are the same age a me, but I loved this story . Are they witches? Is there magic? For sure there is friendship and hidden secrets and love for a child. There are some loose ends but I didn't care. It's an adult fairy tail.
