I really enjoyed Seven Stories Up because it is a magical story where a girl named Annie and her mother come to Hotel Calvert to see Annie's grandmother on her deathbed. Poor Annie never saw her grandma before so she is very excited! when she sleeps, instead of waking up in her era, she wakes up to find herself in another girl's room. she was named Molly. it is 1937 where she is now with molly but it was 1987 in her normal time! so Molly and Annie have many adventures. during this time, she discovers that Molly is her grandma. Annie had time traveled! later on, she has a terrible asthma problem. and she returns to 1987 again. during one of their adventures, they find a kitten in a dumpster! kittens are definitely my type!

Annie wants to meet her grandmother.
Molly wishes she had a friend.
A little magic brings them together in an almost-impossible friendship.

When Annie wakes up on her first morning at the Hotel Calvert, she’s in for a big surprise. There’s a girl named Molly in her bed who insists the year is 1937 and that this is her room! Annie’s not sure what happened, but when she learns that Molly’s never been outside the hotel, she knows it’s time for an adventure. Magic, fortune-telling, some roller skates, a rescued kitten, and the best kind of friendship make up the unforgettable story of two girls destined to change each other’s lives.
