A fascinating exploration into the nature of creativity and seeing, through conversations with the painter, David Hockney. The critic Martin Gayford makes a perfect, informed and insightful interviewer, and the book is lavishly illustrated with paintings and photographs that illuminate not only Hockney's work and career, but much of the long struggle of translating three dimensions into two.
