This author excels at the extended series, introducing a cast of interconnected characters who each get their own chance to find happiness. For diehard fans, she will also mention characters from her other series, but the stories work just as well even if you have no clue who they are. This is the first title in her Colorado Mountain Man series, which was my introduction to what her fans refer to as "KitCrack" - the addictive nature of these romance novels! Not only are her heroes smolder-y and sexy, and her heroines equal parts sweet and goofy, but the supporting characters bring humor and heart to the narrative. This is a great place to start!

This is the first in Kristen Ashley's Colorado Mountain Series. This whole series is very good. Especially if you like your alpha males a little on the rugged side.
