This book was very exciting to read. This book was about a thirteen year old boy named Quin who ran a 100-mile, 24-hour-long marathon. Quin had a lot of support from his mom, best friend Kneecap, and his dad, who was by his side at all times. This book talked about how the character was feeling throughout the race and what he was going through. This book is framed as an interview after Quin's finish. This is not a book to read when you want to relax. It is very fast paced and any reader would have no idea about what will happen next. The parts that I found a little strange were the hallucinations. While Quin is running, he suddenly experiences weird things, such as having conversations with the wind, talking to a turtle, and sitting on a whale's back. These parts were strange but made perfect sense when they were described to be illusions. It was really hard for me to pick a favourite part in the book because all the characters, settings, and descriptions were great. Although it's hard to pick, my favourite character in the book was Kara, a police officer, a mother of two, and the woman who won this race last year. Quin spent a lot of time having conversations with her. She was my favourite character because she was very cheerful, creative and fun, as shown in the book. Quin and Kara were running together near the end too. There were many runners who took part in the race and Quin was the youngest. Did Quin win? Read the book to find out! Rating- 5/5

This was my favourite book so far. He never gave up, and was just 13 years old and running an ultra marathon. I could never have done that.

Ultra is a very fascinating book about an 13-year-old runner, Quinn decided to run an 100 miles marathon in 24 hours during the punishing Shin-Kicker and he won the marathon with the help of his family and a girl named Tara that supported him to be winning the race. I think that the book is very good or maybe even great one and its like all about the adventure and support fro other people. I hope you all liked it too!

Ultra was an interesting book and focussed on the courage of a runner. The book was fast moving and kept my interest all the way through. I would recommend and rate this book 4 1/2 stars.
