I have mixed feelings about this book. The entire book is a photographic collection of various art projects using zentangles, but there were at least 30 that were NOT zentangle art, but other types of art that resembled zentangles. Many of the projects were downright ugly, convincing me that the only really good zentangle artwork is two dimensional (the 3D artwork was really ugly). Most of the book is in color and helps you imagine the possibilities of how to use tangles in artwork. What I used this for were the tangles. If you pay close attention to the artwork you will see common tangles and new variations for common tangles. You'll see stencils used with tangles and freehand artwork using tangles. Only about half of the art was actually zentangles, artwork made totally of tangles. The rest was a mishmash of some unattractive art made by certified zentangle artists. So roughly half the book was good and the other half was not.
