This is the most useful parenting book I have ever read! I wish I had read this 10 years ago. It has great tips / method for parenting. This book is basically about connectivity and prevention, though they didn't say it that way.

I was a little put off by the fact that one of the premises of DBT us that "there is no absolute truth", because that is not actually true. But when I saw that their purpose in / usage of that statement was to get the reader to listen enough to another person to fully understand their perspective, then I was able to tolerate their repeated use of this patently false statement - although I wish they had stated it differently.

Overall an excellent parenting resource. I would have given it 5 whole stars, but my finger wouldn't cooperate on this small screen.
