Four stars may be pushing it a little, but I’m glad to have read it. The author’s prose is too precious by half — at least — but the girl is quite a wordsmith. The plot is a mix of the surreal and suspenseful, a dark comedy, farce, and mystery all mixed together. Try to imagine an amalgam of The Wrong Box, Noises Off, and your favorite Agatha Christie murder mystery (if you have one). The plot is too convoluted to try to summarize here, although hundreds of others have done so on Goodreads or elsewhere, so read those if you’re after the details. This book is really all about style anyway.

The other comments say it all. Wonderful twists and turns in the plot. Well written, great cast of characters and loved the dark humour throughout. Highly recommended.

Nerve racking. Such a mash of characters and stories colliding into a conclusion that leaves you glued to the page. Reccomended!

A different take on a murder story. Could you live with the body of a man you killed buried in your backyard? Then two more bodies turn up in the garden - this is going to be tough to explain! Lots of suspense and twists and turns. I enjoyed this book immensely. Wonder what her next book will be about.

"There is very little peace for a man with a body buried in his backyard." So begins Three Graves Full, a clever, often poetic debut told from many points of view (including a dog's). Months ago, widowed suburbanite Jason Getty had -- uncharacteristically -- killed someone and buried the body at the back of his property. Now, beset by weeds and finding yard work a bit traumatic, he hires a lawn service to tidy the front and side yards, where they find two bodies -- neither of them buried by Jason. The police get involved, and Jason's life gets far more complicated. This nerve-wracking first novel has critics raving; Booklist calls it "astonishingly accomplished."
