An entertaining book of a few essays translated on facing pages, with super long footnotes as a running commentary. Most of my interest was in the commentary which ranges from ideas to Franzen's own biography.

I enjoyed this book so much I went out and bought a copy to mark up all the margins.

It's not an easy read, nor a fast one, but it is fun. The Kraus Project is several books - Kraus's essays, Franzen's commentary on the essays and discussion with other commentators, and the back-and-forth between it all. Thought-provoking and funny.
