Is she dead or alive? That is the question on everyone's lips. Eve appears to have been the victim of James Doane, the psychopath who kidnapped her and forced her to use her skills as a forensic sculptor to reconstruct the skull of his depraved son. That's what everyone attending her funeral thinks, at least. But not even some of her top-brass colleagues know for sure whether her death is a hoax--a way to ensnare her brutal captor once and for all.

The Jane character could be more realistic and fit better into the whole plot.

I gave this 1/2 star. This whole stupid trilogy could have been in one book.

What's with all the ridiculous posturing and threats, boasting, etc, crap?

I quit in the last trilogy, but was too dumb to stay quit.

Iris Johansen is officially OFF my reading list for good!

These now 6 books about Eve, Joe, John et al., is getting really boring. This latest one (didn't read the previous two to avoid the constant references) is so much like a Harlequin Novel - tedious and boring. Give the cast a rest, Iris.

Not a bad story all told, except that I found it very repetitious to the point of being obnoxious. I would give it no more than a 2-star rating.
