Nick has his driver's license and he's not afraid to use it. But turning sixteen isn't what he thought it would be. While other boys his age are worried about prom dates and applying for college, Nick is neck deep in enemies out to stop him from living another day. No longer sure if he can trust anyone, his only ally seems to be the one person he's been told will ultimately kill him.

DISAPPOINTED BY THE WAY IT ENDED.....WILL BE HAPPY TO SEE A PART FIVE BUT IF NOT..SO DID NOT LIKE THE WAY IT ENDED. SEEMS LIKE A COPE OUT.

This one didn't quite do it for me like the previous three. I was really confused at first but then it got better and... the ending is really anti-climactic. What in the world is with that epilogue too? But it's still a great set of books for younger teenagers because of the messages that Kenyon is trying to relay. I've learned a lot from reading the books myself.

Ok, I understand that adolescence is a tough time. Teenagers have serious self-esteem issues and need all the encouragement they can get. I think it’s great that Kenyon is trying so hard to include a reassuring, positive tone to counteract the usual teenage angst. But not being a teenager or having self esteem problems (lucky me), I got a little tired of Kenyon’s constant pep talks via several different characters.

"Hey now," Nick said, holding his hands up in defense of himself, "it was not my fault. I was minding my own business when that trash can went suicidal, came out of nowhere, and jumped in front of the car."

"It was on the curb, Nick," Ash said drily. "Along with a number of screaming pedestrians, running for their lives."

"That's your story. I'm sticking to mine.... And there ought to be a law about homicidal trash cans, and fines for the people who put them on the street. They're really dangerous....Just saying."
