The story continues for Barb "Soccer-mommasaurus" Everett and "Im saving up for a boobie job" Janea. It took long enough to get the sequel out, and Im glad it didnt show both characters kicking butt and taking no names. Having one of the characters in danger in a way that the other couldnt give physical aid was a great story. I have hopes that more books of Special Circumstances will be coming along. Its got two great characters and I personally love reading about two people with such different religious views working together in this way.

Ringo is THE author for action junkies like me. However, his attempts at biblical scholarship need a bit of critical review before being foisted on an unwary public.

Gotta love his female heroines though. Almost want to go out and buy a stage sword to show off at a SF convention.

Queen of Wands is the second book in the Special Circumstances Series and is better that the first. Once again Ringo is pushing the boundaries of what you expect in a story involving religion. 4 out of 5.
