Awful, awful, awful. The 2 main characters are cops. There is almost nothing in the book that would make you think that. Very poorly depictions of cops. Nothing in the descriptions of their duties/actions that would be illustrative of police duties/procedures. They might as well have been retail clerks in a candy shop. More time spent on Selena's romance with Dylan than the murders. The author never did indicate why the murderer targeted Selena or the 4 victims. What did he have against them? A quantum leap as to how Selena concluded that Gabriel was her son (based primarily on the following facts: he's adopted; he's the right age; he broke into her house, ergo, he MUST be her son!)
I'd give it negative stars if possible
This is the first time I read this author. Well written and suspenseful. I would recommend it as being a good read.
