This book is enthralling. The melding of factual New York City Chinatown conditions for illegals and mythical Chinese legends is beautiful. The harsh reality of life for these immigrants is starkly contrasted with the beautiful traditions of the Sisterhood of Cranes. This a must read for tweens, young adults, and adults looking for a spell-binding quick read.
