A fun, clever read. Not heavy, but fun and well written. Thumbs up.

Brilliant satire of powerless daughter of superheroes used as supervillain bait.

What if your parents had super powers and were the symbol of justice in your city? And what if you didn’t have any powers? Not only do you feel like your lack of powers is a disappointment to your father, but you are constantly getting kidnapped by the bad guys to lure in the parents! This is the everyday life of Celia West, daughter of the famous Captain Olympus-with powers of strength-and Spark-with powers of fire.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. I’m a fan of superhero graphic novels and I was intrigued that a superhero story in the form of a regular novel existed. The heroine is spunky and we follow her as she navigates through her strained relationship with her father, a new romantic interest, and solving a mystery that involves the origins of the superhuman powers her parents and friends possess. The most important thing to take away from this book? You don’t have to have super powers to be a hero.

This was a surprisingly heartfelt and entertaining read I reckon can be enjoyed by both fans of "Golden Age" comics and the general reader. I look forward to the soon-to-be-released sequel!

story about super heroes daughter with no super powers. Read to chapter 4 but didn't enjoy writing style.

Definitely an interesting read due to the plot concept - what would you do if your parents were super and you weren't?

Find it's not quite as good as the Kitty books, but a nice read nevertheless.

I sat down, expecting to read a few pages over breakfast, and there went my morning. Sneaky, pull you in writing that makes you want to pull apart the characters' lives in one go.
