Patterson has not written anything memorable in years but he still manages to churn out books like a machine, most of them just average. This one missed the mark completely, though. It has some very clunky dialogue, the plot is nowhere near believable, and the final confrontation is laughable

Throughout the entire book, I could hardly put it down. A few little details did bother me that shouldn't. Just little things like protagonist pointing out that his daughter can't have milk and then giving her milk later on. And the ending was so cheesy and disappointing. The end grew very predictable. I feel like he just got tired of writing so threw everything together at the end.

WORST ENDING EVER! Great book but the ending "battle" was one of the cheesiest things I've ever read in my life. Something that I would have expected from a high school level writer.

Other than that, I enjoyed the book.

I love this book and all the other James Patterson's book, very hair raising, suspense and twisted plot and beautifully done, I never get bored. It reminds me of anther author James Hadley Chase ( British author), that was long ago, I don't see those books anymore. This book teach a lot of lesson, about been aware of your enemy maybe your trusted friend is ur enemy, like the villain in this book

Amazing story, suprise ending, definetly did not think the bad guy would be that person. So far one of my fav of the Private series.

Sadly, a complete disappointment. Normally Patterson is one of my favorite authors but this predictable, cliche ridden and rather simplistic book looked to me like he used a boiler plate template and just plugged in different names. I could not recommend to any of my friends.

snorer.. plastic unidimensional characters, waste of pulp

This only made more fun to read because the Olympics are going on right now. Good job on almost predicting the Opening, too!

I absolutely loved this book, and the last line cracked me up (before the epilogue)! Loved the way it all ended for Cronus! My husband kept telling me he didn't like this Private book as much as the last two because it was set in England with different people, but I really like Peter Knight...maybe because he reminds me so much of Mike Bennett, who I adore. Can't wait to read more.....get writing Mr. Patterson.

Note: The summary for this book on the Library website must be based on the British version, because the star of this book is Peter Knight.....hmmmm
