I read John Hart's Redemption Road and it was so good, and I was really happy that I found a new author of several books so that should keep me busy. Then I got Iron House. I was so disappointed. I tried three different times to pick it up, but ended up putting it down. It just didn't hold my interest, too much filler. I'll take my time picking up another one by Hart.

I really enjoyed this one, my level of enjoyment is always measured by the difficulty I face in putting it down and getting some sleep!! I look forward to his next one.

Another great book from John Hart. He is a consumate author of the mystery genre. From page one you are hooked on the story of Michael and Julian. You have Michael and his life within the mafia type organization and then you come into the life of Julian - the life that Michael could have shared - which is filled with money and family. As this story unravels he keeps you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure where all of this is leading. When all is over you are in a place that you would never have guessed. Highly recommend.

Not for the faint of heart. There is a great deal of violence throughout. It is centered on Michael's discovery of his brother who was lost to him many years ago. As a result, he is drawn into the lives of a powerful senator, his wife Abigail, and her faithful bodyguard. Murder, revenge and family are all intermingled to create a suspenseful and fast-moving thriller.

Loved this book! A great mystery, keeping you interested and guessing. Lots of intrigue and mystery. There is some violence to wade through, some very descriptive and gory but if you can make it through those sections, the book is really a great page turned. Very well written. Couldn't put it down. Highly recommend. Intend to read more of John Hart's books.

I am happy to have discovered a new crime thriller type of author. I had never come across John Hart before and this book was really good, with a convoluted plot line that kept you guessing. The story of the two orphaned brothers was very good, and I like the setting in the North Carolina area. I am going to read all of Hart's other books!

Very thrilling indeed! John Hart captured my attention from the beginning. This was a great read!

"Twenty years ago, brothers Michael and Julian lived, unhappily, in a grim North Carolina orphanage. When another orphan was killed, Michael, the strong one, fled to New York City and eventually ended up as a hitman for the Mob. Sensitive, vulnerable Julian was adopted and took to exorcising his demons through his writing. They haven't seen each other since the night Michael ran away, but that's about to change as Julian comes under threat by one of Michael's rivals. With themes of loyalty and love laid against the violence and brutality of men and boys alike, their reconnection makes for compelling, if blood-soaked, reading." Brutal but suspense-filled plot; brilliantly written

It's a little cliche at times, but still a pretty good story that kept my attention. I enjoyed reading it despite a bit of eye rolling.
