I find this series fascinating. I enjoy the mix of war and politics that the stories involve.

Well written, but it would be nice if all his characters did not have the same mannerisms. And, as much I enjoy the series, time to wrap it up.

As much as I like this series I am also getting the feeling that Weber is stretching it out a bit too much.

good read, though it seems that weber is putting a couple too many storylines in to the series. It can get confusing at times. Overall though, a magnificent piece of work, as i have come to expect from David Weber.

As usual, very good. But it is getting too many characters in the book now and we need an ending soon.

Nicely written. A worthy addition to the safehold series. Some things to look forward to: Paityr Wyllsyn goes on a sabbatical at the Abbey of Saint Zherneau and has his worldview rocked, and not in a good way; Merlin introduces six-shooters to Safehold now that tech has advanced to the point where it can support the firearm type; Zhaspyr Clyntahn introduces the suicide bomber; Evah rescues the Republic of Siddermark from the Church zealots; a certain Royal Duke rescues a prince and princess from a Church that wants to make them good martyrs. There is a lot more detail that I haven't gone into. For me, it was a fun read.
