VPL holds two different versions of this DVD. Both are in a 4:3 aspect ratio, a "pan and scan" image that will be windowboxed on modern TV sets. The 2001 DVD release is 115 minutes, while the 2007 DVD release (labelled "director's cut") is 121 minutes.

As a movie, it's not great, as there is so many deeper things that are glossed over in the movie.
The best part of it is Richard Dreyfuss's performance as Duddy, because he does a great job as a character that is hard to play.
It's worth one watch for his performance.
