Flat Stanley travels to Mount Rushmore with his family to see the carving of the past Presidents on the side of the mountain in Black Hills, South Dakota. They are introduced to wildlife, the gold rush and the Wild West. Flat Stanley and his brother even meet a real-life cowgirl and search for gold.
