Is there a more polarizing popular rock band than the Grateful Dead? Maybe the Eagles, but I feel people who like the Eagles are just deluded. If you're not a Deadhead, you're probably never going to get them or get images of drugged out hippies spinning in fields to endless, noodly jams. 1969's "Aoxmoxoa," which I think is a rare medical condition, is the third album from the stalwart lysergic hippie jam band. Opener "St. Stephen" is the only song I recognized. The reissue includes some bonus jams. For indie rock fans who hate the Dead, check out the recent huge collection of Dead covers, "Day of the Dead."
