The author is to carried away with sex. There is to much second quessing every move that is made by the main characters. Not that good.Hope the next book is about more of her police work and exploes more character depth.

When I read Skin Trade, one of the previous instalment of the series, I marvelled at how author Hamilton had rediscovered plot. But that appears to be a short term flirtation with that literary device as she dives back into the eroticism that characterizes her stories.

In Bullet, Marme Noire appears to not be dead, but is instead possessing the bodies of the European master vampires. She seems to be intent on setting them against Jean-Claude and Anita, in her bid to take over the necromancer's body. Jean-Claude and Anita try to fight back, by further consolidating their power with the were-tigers. The plan is to set up Jean-Claude as the leader of proposed North American coucil.

This book is full of the cliches that permeate this series. Anita has sex with everything and everyone, while beating herself up over being a monster. She continues to gain power over new species of were-animals. The only change here is that Richard, Anita's former boyfriend and the third member of the triumvirate, seems to have made peace with the situation and works with Jean-Claude and Anita to protect the various communities they lead.

This is an OK book when you need something naughty on a cold, Friday night. But beyond that, a little disappointing.

This the 19th book of a 20 book series...just when I thought I was going to write this author off, she did OK..emphasize on okay. Though you would have to read the rest of the series (which I do not recommend) to enjoy. If you haven't started this series don't start. This author gets way too much credit. She can write, but she has no clue on how to tell a story. I head she's doing comics now maybe those are better cuz she can't drag them out like she does in her novels. Hate to talk ill on people, but just being honest.

We get it, LKH. Supernatural creatures have a LOT of sex in all different flavours. Could you get back to telling the story?

A good read, but the amount of sex is getting old.

I couldn't put this one down, much like the others. The characters can still surprise you after 19 books! I cannot wait for the next one. I miss Anita Blake already.

I Just finished reading it and as always, can’t wait for the next one. This new twist with the bad guys is thrilling and anything can happen. It’s great to see a series where the characters continue to grow and evolve.
