Throughout my Ph.D. studies in Political Science, I have read a lot of books - some mandatory, many by choice. This book was given to me as a mandatory reading, and still, it is by and far one of the best books I have read that captures - quite vividly - the impacts and limitations of global capitalism. A highly recommended read, even for those whose interests fall outside of 'development' or 'global politics'.
