Where to start... this is one of the best books I have ever read. I was extremely moved by the story. Death's narration added an interesting view to the story. I fell in love with all the characters, especially Rudy and Max. I bawled my eyes out at the end of the book, which all added to the true drama of the story. I rate this book as 5/5, as it is unique, yet represents a real event. Another good book like this one is The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

Not always an easy read because of the subject matter, but captivating and incredible.

Narrated from an amazing perspective and interspersed with drawings, The Book Thief pulled me in from the first sentence and kept me interested all the way through.

It's certainly not just for teens; every adult I know who's read it felt it was worthwhile and more than appropriate for grown-ups.
