Fire Trailer
It is not a peaceful time in the Dells. Young King Nash clings to the throne, while rebel lords, in the north and south, build armies to unseat him. War is coming. The mountains and forests are filled with spies and thieves. This is where Fire lives, a girl whose startling appearance is impossibly irresistible and who can control the minds of everyone around her. Everyone...except Prince Brigan. FIRE, the prequel to GRACELING.

Add a CommentFire, I didn't like, as much as I did Graceling. Although it had some shocking facts about Bitterblue's father, and I love a good book with twists and turns. The main character, Fire, was fierce and strong and I started liking her more and more throughout the book. Her bravery and the romance kept me going till the end. The end finally came and I wanted more. Thank you Kristin Cashore, for yet another great book. I can't wait for Bitterblue !
I love Kistin Cashore's books, they are just amazing!
I love this book! Even though Fire is no were near as strong of a feminin character as Katsa. However I like this book more because it is a little more romantic and the battles made me keep reading. My favorite series ever!
I definitely didn't enjoy this book as much as Graceling, but it was still good and worth a read. What I didn't like as much: the relationship development, too much talk of battles (I'm rarely fond of that), and the main character Fire is not nearly as strong as Katsa from Graceling. It made me frustrated at points hearing her blubbering and stupid thoughts. What I did like about it (that some people criticize the book for) is that it is a whole new land on the other side of the map, from where Graceling takes place with very different creatures. Cashore has left open the possibility of intriguing story lines for the future when the two sides of the map finally meet. I did also like the creativity of the monster creatures. I am curious to see where Cashore's writing heads, as her first book was most excellent. I hope she can go back to stronger female characters that someone older than 18 can relate to, and to the romantic sparks set by her first book, but mostly absent from the second. In a nutshell: this book is worth a read, as I think it builds the foundations for the world Cashore is creating for us, and promise for some excellent future reads.
i didnt finish reading the book but .. it didnt capture me as mush as gracling ** which i freaking love!!!** but it seem ... more realistic? idk how to explain it but .. not as fun as gracling
so amazing this book was one that i couldn't put down like the first book in the series Graceling in had an amazing lead female character. i loved it i recomend it to everyone!!!
Amazing. No matter how many times I read it, it amazes me every time
This is such a good book!!!! The beginning was hard to understand at first but it was so worth it!!!!
Loved this book as much as Graceling. I was really hooked about a quarter of the way through. Lots of side stories, but the plot was easy to understand. Definitely for the more mature teen reader.
Thank you Kristin Cashore ... Thank you... After reading this book I had to buy it, as well as Graceling... Can't wait for BitterBlue :D
